originally, this piece was an incident, a scrap piece of paper in which I was to test my ink and wipe my brushes on. I found the scrap piece and began observing it, with this I could make out a feminine figure to which I exaggerated to create the obvious female silhouette. I then created a sequence (see below) of the womanly physique in a mimicked style. This then spiked the question in my mind as to why the most recognized shape of a woman contains the most idealistic features. Perky breasts, small waists and rounded hips. I myself am an individual who loves and appreciates all body shapes, yet I still find myself using these glorified ones in my work. Why is this?
